Glazed Donut Cakes - From the Kitchen

How incredible do these doughnuts look?! These delicious rings of VEGAN goodness were created and shot by the talented @soybabie_ using our Game Changer Hazelnut Butter bar. If you’re feeling a little adventurous this weekend and want to bake them yourself, please share your decadent creations with us using #cookingtigerstyle.

For the glaze you with need

  • 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon almond or coconut flour

Glaze Method

The glaze recipe is super simple! Add all the ingredients in a bowl and stir.

Then add teaspoons of water until the consistency is thick and completely smooth. You don’t want it too be runny!

For the cake batter you will need

  • 1 cup of nuttelex
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 vegan egg (a powder mix or ground chia seed)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • A splash of apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of oat flour
  • 1/2 cup self raising flour
  • A dash of maple syrup optional
  • 1 block of chocolate, in this case it’s our Vegan Game Changer, Hazelnut Butter Bar

Cake batter method

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.

Cream the nuttelex with both of the sugars. Then add the vegan egg, vanilla essence, olive oil, apple cider vinegar and stir. Add your maple syrup now as well if you want to include it.

Slowly stir in your dry ingredients. If the batter is too thick add a splash of soy milk.

Chop your choccie and stir it into the batter (Game Changer or your personal fave!)

Pour the batter into a doughnut pan and bake for 10-15 mins until golden brown. Once fully cooled you can glaze them! Decorate with edible flours, more chocolate and ENJOY!
